The graph above displays the change in Arizona’s Undocumented Migrant population over time from 2005 to 2022. The data shows a spike in 2007-08, before a sharp drop in 2009-10, where the population remains mostly level until 2022, where it drops by about 50,000 people. Skipping from 2020 to 2022 was not a mistake on my part; there is no data for 2021 in the study.

The graph above displays the percentage of Arizonans who are undocumented as compared with the rest of the population. The data was gathered by combining the data from above with data of the Arizona population over time. The shape is roughly the same, but shows the slow decline in population as a percentage during the 2010’s. The first and last bars are highlighted white, showing that the percentage of undocumented Arizonans in 2022 was half that of Arizonans in 2005.
